There is a dog/cat food recall that was recently issued. Several dogs/cats that have eaten these brands of food have gotten sick and several have gone to the vet, and... Almost every brand of dog food that most people know of is on there in some form. Eukanuba, Nutro, and even Iams are on the list; Publix dog food in on the list! Science Diet, another large dog food company, however, is not on the list. Another thing: My dog eats Nutro, so my family was very worried, thankfully, his food was not on the list. It seems that most of the food on the list is canned food, or the meat flavors [chicken and rice, pot roast, etc.]. menufoods.com/recall/product_cat.html is the cat food recalls; menufoods.com/recall/product_dog.html is the dog food recalls. I hope this helps someone out there decide what food to buy their dog or cat. [Science diet seems to be a good choice, since none of its products are on the dog recall list.]

Aw, crap. My old kitty [who can't chew well, so we buy her gushy food in pouches] has been eating Iams. Well, at least that's not ALL she eats. She can probably flush it out with some of the migrating BlueJays [she's an outdoor cat]. I don't give a flying meerkat about the Jays, but there's always the chance she didn't get food from the contaminated lot. She's a strong cat, though. She's lived outdoors her entire life and has gone her fourteen years without dying of a food-transmitted disease! She probably won't get sick. Yay for immunities!

Hopefully your kitty won't get sick. =D My cats rarely eat mushy gushy food. xD But they like it. They love meowmix bestest. Or Friskies. (;

It turns out that it was this rat poision that got in the food from China. Vets think that they will be able to help the animals better now that they know what's maing them sick.
